Understanding your Right to Choose
Don't let long waiting lists delay the support you need. As an NHS partner, we provide fully funded, neuro affirming autism assessments for adults and children with significantly shorter waiting times. Our evidence based, person centred approach focuses on understanding each individual and providing clear guidance to support next steps.
Note: If you are impacted by your local ICB's new funding arrangements please enquire regarding our private assessment service and other support offerings we provide.

How do I get referred under NHS Right to Choose?
You can ask your GP to refer you to KT Healthcare for an autism assessment under NHS Right to Choose. Your GP will make the referral on your behalf.
Step 1
Speak to your GP
Book an appointment with your GP to discuss your concerns.
During the appointment, let your GP know that you would like to use your legal NHS Right to Choose and be referred to KT Healthcare for an autism assessment.
Step 2
Ask your GP to make the referral
Your GP will send a referral to us, including relevant medical information. You do not need to contact us at this stage unless advised.
If your GP has any questions, they can contact us directly.
Step 3
We take it from here
Once we receive your referral, our team will review it and contact you directly if we are able to proceed.
We will send you screening questionnaires and explain the next steps in the assessment process. This can take up to two weeks.
If you have not heard from us after this time, please contact us directly.
Please note that all referrals are reviewed, and acceptance is not guaranteed at the point of referral.
